People, lineage, and a community of practice that grows from the inside out.
Integral Africa has become a community and a movement. For 25 years (and decades before) The Learning Centre was born. This birthed the Integral Coaching Centre now t/a The Coaching Centre.
The work belongs to more than any one of us: as we say, I am because we are.
Our biggest gift is our community of practice: a founder with a long lineage, a leadership team that runs the school, an advisory board of global standing, a faculty that has been grown from within, and an alumni network that keeps showing up in the work they do and who they are.
Beyond this we have formed links across the world, slowly, nurturing the soil of learning and landing integral thinking and practice into the southern areas of Africa: Not only as a western/eastern approach but significantly expanding its impact through the inclusion of our African wisdom and a universal truth that has almost been lost: I am because we are.
Dr Paddy Pampallis – Academic Lead & Founder
Integral psychologist, developmentalist, and social activist.
Paddy has worked with Integral Theory since 1992, following a Master’s in Psychology and a two-year postgraduate programme in Transpersonal Psychology.
A social activist and developmentalist, she has accompanied the human journey from infancy through adulthood – with couples, families, teams, and whole organisations.
Across South Africa, she has:

Set up healing centres and adult learning programmes

Led leadership and coaching initiatives in mining towns, Alexander Township, and beyond

Contributed to Race Awareness and Leadership programmes at the dawn of democracy

Founded The Child and Family Therapy and Assessment Centre (Johannesburg)

Co-created The Ubuntu Coaching Foundation
Her work spans major corporates, higher education, health, industry, cities, government, and NGOs.
Today, she is the Academic Lead on the strategic management team of the Global Mayors Academy – responding to the question: “How do we human well together?” through strategic, regenerative, and relational practice.

Faculty and Community of Practice
Our faculty grow from within. Nearly all were once students, later becoming Developmentors©, and some rising to faculty. This creates diversity within a shared language for learning, leadership, and culture change. Our support faculty — alumni who show talent, integrity, and deep willingness — are our greatest gems. Across the years, they always show up.
